Manhunt launched after teenage girl raped outside library in Surrey

Police are searching for a teenage boy after a 15-year-old girl was raped outside a library in Surrey.

The girl was with a friend when two males approached them, one of whom allegedly later raped her near Chertsey Library.

The attack happened around 7pm on Friday.

Surrey Police has launched a manhunt for the suspect, who is described as in his teens with slicked back blonde hair.

He was wearing a white jumper, blue jeans and white trainers.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have information that could help the investigation.

Detective Sergeant Mihai Kerekes said: ‘Incidents of this nature are extremely concerning, and we want to reassure the public that a full investigation is underway to identify the person involved. 

‘Should you have any information that can assist us in identifying the suspect, please contact us quoting PR/45250077899.’
