First Lady Melania Trump posted an AI-generated meme of herself that has set off a slew of speculation.
Trump, 55, shared a video of her image posted by the X (formerly Twitter) account for her official meme, @TrueMELANIAmeme, on Wednesday.
It shows digital pixels and her appearing, wearing a dark dress suit and blonde-highlighted locks, blinking and standing in an upscale building that seems to be Trump Tower.
‘Into The Future,’ the post is captioned.
It is part of her cryptocurrency venture, $MELANIA, which she launched just before her husband Donald Trump’s return to the White House in January.
The post has many social media confused and guessing what it means.
Some believe that the first lady will use her AI-generated image to stand in for in future public appearances, including with the president.
‘OHHHHHHH! You personally don’t have to make appearances with (Donald) anymore if they can hologram you! Got it!’ wrote one X user.
Another remarked: ‘Wow, rather than tell donnie she has a headache, she could send him this replacement.’
Other X users who are not fans of the Trumps mocked the meme.
‘Amazing, she didn’t take her husband into the future. Oh wait, I wouldn’t take him either,’ wrote a user.
The first lady’s meme coin jumped 7% in value within 24 hours of her sharing the AI video, and is trading at $0.182, according to the digital media outlet Decrypt.

That is up over 12% on the week but remains down 99% from its high of $13.05 when it debuted in January.
The meme is not the first time that Trump has been accused of using a body double.
Rumors swirled in 2017, during her husband’s first term, that she would use a body double for some public engagements, with eagle-eyed onlookers pointing out subtle differences in her facial features and gestures.
The fist lady’s meme is not the only one that has generated headlines this week.
President Trump shared an AI-made video of Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer standing next to House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries wearing a sombrero and a mustache, with mariachi music playing in the background.
‘Look guys, there’s no way to sugarcoat it: nobody likes Democrats anymore,’ says the AI-generated Schumer.
The sombrero memes have also been shares by Republicans accusing Democrats of allowing the federal government shutdown to fund healthcare for undocumented immigrants.
