President Donald Trump appeared to have a couple of new marks on his palm just days after a large bruise was spotted on the back of his hand.

Trump revealed two dark marks on the palm of his right hand on Monday afternoon while gesturing at a White House event announcing a $100billion investment in the US

One of the marks was above the heart line of his palm and the other right below the head line.

They were visible at various points of Trump’s remarks in the Roosevelt Room, including when he said that ‘reciprocal tariffs start on April 2nd, and I wanted to make it April 1st but I didn’t want to go April Fools’.

The outside of Trump’s hand still had a bruise that was seen last week as he met with several world leaders. The bruise sparked speculation on social media around the president’s health.

It was not immediately known what caused the two new marks inside his hand.

The White House last week said Trump received the bruise on the back of his hand from shaking hands with so many people. The large, yellowish mark was visible during Trump’s meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron in the Oval Office last Monday.

‘President Trump has bruises on his hand because he’s constantly working and shaking hands all day every day,’ said White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt at the time.

She added: ‘President Trump is a man of the people. His commitment is unwavering, and he proves that every single day.’

It is not the first time that Trump has had marks on his hands, leading to theories on his health.

In December, Trump said bruises on the outside of his right hand were ‘from shaking hands with thousands of people’, Time reported.

Trump also was pictured with bruises or redness on his right hand in August and November 2024.

On Monday, Trump continued to criticize Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, whom he had a shouting match with in the Oval Office on Friday and asked to leave, resulting in no minerals deal signed toward peace.

Asked by a reporter what Zelensky needs to do to restart negotiations toward ending the Russia-Ukraine war, Trump said: ‘Well I just think he should be more appreciative.’

‘Because this country has stuck with him through thick and thin, we’ve given them much more than Europe, and Europe should have given more than us because as you know it’s right there, that’s the border,’ Trump said.

‘President Zelensky supposedly made a statement today in AP – I’m not a big fan of AP so maybe it was an incorrect statement – but he said he thinks the war is going to go on for a very long time, and he better not be right about that.’
