LOS ANGELES – Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman and country singer Keith Urban have separated after 19 years of marriage, according to media reports.
Kidman, 58, and Urban, 57, have been living separately “since the beginning of summer,” sources told TMZ, the first to report the news.
Sources told PEOPLE that “Nicole’s sister [Antonia] has been a rock and the entire Kidman family has come together to support one another.”
“She didn’t want this,” adds the source. “She has been fighting to save the marriage.”
The couple, who got engaged in May 2006, married the following month in a candlelit ceremony in the beachside suburb of Manly in Sydney.
They share daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.
Kidman was previously married to Tom Cruise, with whom she shares two children, Isabella Jane and Connor Antony.
In an Instagram post on June 25, the Moulin rouge actress celebrated their wedding anniversary.

Kidman recently wrapped filming “Practical Magic 2” in London while Urban, who is currently on tour, is scheduled to perform in Hershey, Pennsylvania, on Oct. 2.
In a tribute to the Hollywood star as she received her AFI Life Achievement Award in Los Angeles last year, Urban said Kidman showed him “what love in action really looks like” when his substance abuse problems emerged almost immediately after they wed in 2006.
