Oil majors begin offshore evacuations as storms target Gulf of Mexico

(Reuters) – BP, Shell and Chevron Corp said on Friday that they had started evacuating offshore oil facilities, with two tropical cyclones heading towards the Gulf of Mexico in the United States as the hurricane season already active in the ‘Atlantic 2020 was heating up.
