Following the release of her third studio album, Filipino American pop superstar Olivia Rodrigo made history as the first artist to debut her first three albums and lead singles at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and Billboard Hot 100, respectively.
The 13-track album, “You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love,” reportedly recorded 485,000 equivalent sales on release week. This was the biggest album debut by a solo artist this year and the second-biggest of the year overall, behind BTS’ comeback album, “Arirang.”
The Billboard accolades are among the myriad of highlights from the album’s opening week.
It became Amazon Music’s most streamed album in a single day and Spotify’s most streamed in a single day across all female artists this year.
