A teacher has been left devastated after burglars ransacked her family home and stole her beloved pet dog.
Eliz Yusuf, 26, was given little Simba as a present for her 16th birthday, but the Yorkshire Terrier Poodle cross was taken during the raid.
Her home in Meadowcroft Close, North London, was ransacked by thieves on December 16, who took diamonds, coins, medals, and her beloved dog.
She is willing to pay a reward to get her pooch, nine, back, adding: ‘He means the world to me.
‘Simba was a present from my father 10 years ago.’
English teacher Eliz said: ‘Honestly, I’d say that our lives have been turned upside down. This has been truly devastating for all of us.
‘We just want him back with us. He’s been such a big part of my life since I was 16.
Talking directly to the burglars, she said: ‘I will pay you, please just return Simba safely.’
But nearly three weeks on, the family have had no positive news about their dog’s whereabouts.
Family friend Elle Mac said: ‘It’s a horrible thing for anyone to do. It’s like stealing a baby.’
A Met Police spokesperson said: ‘Officers are currently investigating a burglary, which was reported at 19:40hrs on December 18 at Meadowcroft Road, N13.
