Pervert who sprayed women with bottle of semen is jailed over ‘depraved’ spree

A man who sprayed a bottle of semen on women in supermarket aisles has been jailed.

William Kidd admitted 11 counts of sexual assault after CCTV footage was shown of him pouring a substance on women’s hair and backs.

Kidd, 27, was filmed on five occasions prowling store aisles in Cheshire and Greater Manchester and stalking women between May and September last year.

Forensic analysis confirmed the substance he threw on them was in fact his own semen.

On another occasion, Kidd secretly filmed a woman as she was shopping with her five-year-old daughter.

Many of his victims were completely unaware of his presence.

Kidd had visited stores in Macclesfield, Handforth and Stanley Green in Cheshire, as well as Denton and Stockport in Greater Manchester.

Footage retrieved from Kidd’s phone also found he had filmed up the skirt of a woman pushing a young child in a supermarket trolley.

Minshull Street Crown Court in Manchester heard that Kidd told store security guards he was a ‘sex addict’ and that he pursued the women ‘to get a sexual thrill’, BBC reported.

Kidd pleaded guilty to 11 counts of sexual assault on a female, two counts of voyeurism, eight counts of recording an image under clothing to observe another without consent, and possession of cannabis, having pleaded his innocence at an earlier hearing.

He was sentenced to four years in jail on Friday and was also handed an indefinite sexual harm prevention order.

Speaking after the sentencing, DC Tiffany Berry-Perkin said: ‘Kidd deliberately targeted innocent women as they went about their everyday lives, entirely unaware of the depraved acts he was committing against them.

‘His behavior is completely unacceptable, and I welcome the fact that he is now being held accountable behind bars, where he can no longer pose a danger to women in our communities.’
