Air traffic control at Gatwick has been blighted by technical problems today, leaving planes unable to land.
The airport has confirmed ‘IT issues’ meant the runway had to be closed for a period during the morning.
Three flights had to be rerouted mid-air earlier and were forced to land at Heathrow.
