Pulses, oilseed prices firm in the face of rains and pest attacks
NEW DELHI: Heavy rains and pest attacks on maturing crops pushed prices for pulses and oilseeds up to 10 percent last week.
The prices of moong and urad rose 10 percent to Rs 62 per kg after heavy rains in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka, said Suresh Aggarwal, president of the All India Dal Mill Association.
