Latin music icon Bad Bunny has revealed that his upcoming 2025–2026 tour will not include any stops in the United States.
The Puerto Rican star said the decision was rooted in concerns that US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) might target his shows.
Shows in US cities simply felt too risky
In a conversation with i-D magazine, the Grammy winner admitted that the possibility of ICE showing up outside venues became a serious topic within his team.
Fans in America, he suggested, would still have plenty of chances to see him. They could fly to Puerto Rico or even other countries, he pointed out, but holding shows in US cities simply felt too risky.
The decision comes against the backdrop of Trump’s re-election and a sharp rise in ICE activity, with reports that the agency is now making at least 3,000 arrests daily. For Bad Bunny, the idea that people might face such danger while attending his shows was something he couldn’t accept.

Still, the 31-year-old stressed that the move should not be seen as a rejection of his American fanbase. He admitted that “fear of ICE” did factor in, but clarified there were several reasons behind his absence from the US circuit. None of them, he said, came from resentment. He recalled that his past tours in the States had been “successful” and “magnificent,” and he has always cherished connecting with Latino communities there.
Residency in San Juan, Puerto Rico
Rather than stage massive arena shows across North America, Bad Bunny has instead turned his homeland into the centerpiece of his world tour.
He recently kicked off a two-month residency at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot, with 30 shows under the title “I Don’t Want to Leave Here.”
The San Juan residency has quickly become a magnet for global fans and even Hollywood celebrities, proving that Puerto Rico can hold its own as a world stage.
Though some may feel disappointed that US dates are missing, the artist framed it as a chance for audiences to embark on a journey of their own.
He reminded fans that his connection with US-based Latinos remains strong, and that they are always welcome to join him in Puerto Rico or wherever his music takes him next.
