Despite falling short at the Grammys, Blackpink’s Rosé and Filipino American hitmaker Bruno Mars’ “APT.” claimed a milestone that once again proves the song’s global dominance.

The cross-continental collaboration was officially named the Official Biggest-Selling Global Single of the Year 2025 by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI).

“APT.” became the first No. 1 single featuring non-English lyrics and the first global single chart winner led by an artist from outside North America and Europe.

Industry observers credit the song’s triumph to a carefully executed international release strategy. IFPI noted that the result stemmed from a coordinated global rollout that aligned radio, streaming and marketing efforts across regions. This unified push allowed the single to maintain visibility and engagement across key markets, long after its debut buzz.

Trailing closely behind at No. 2 is ”Golden” by HUNTR/X. ”Soda Pop” by Saja Boys, another track from hit film ”Kpop Demon Hunters,” enters at No. 13.

The Top 10 list further highlighted the dominance of high-profile collaborations. Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars’ duet ”Die With A Smile” secured the No. 4 spot. Kendrick Lamar and SZA landed at No. 8 with 2026 Grammys’ Record of the Year winner ”luther.”
