As Filipino pop powerhouse SB19 prepares to make history at Lollapalooza, the group’s upcoming appearance is becoming even more significant following the release of the festival’s official stage schedule.
Beyond securing a slot at one of the world’s biggest music festivals, SB19 also landed a performance at one of its most prominent grounds, the Allianz Stage.
Their set officially marks the first time a homegrown Filipino act will perform at the Chicago-based festival.
Allianz Stage
Set inside Grant Park in Chicago, the Allianz Stage has steadily grown into one of Lollapalooza’s most important platforms, often shaping how rising global acts are introduced to massive international audiences. It is positioned as a secondary stage in name, but in practice, it functions as one of the festival’s biggest arenas, with the capacity to host tens of thousands of fans at a time.

Formerly known as the Lake Shore Stage, it was rebranded under Allianz and has since become synonymous with breakout momentum.
Industry observers often point out that the stage has a unique role in the festival ecosystem. It is large enough to generate headliner-level crowds, yet still reserved for artists who are in a rapid ascent rather than already at their peak.
Rising acts on the Allianz Stage
Over the years, the Allianz Stage has become a showcase for artists on the brink of global superstardom. Performers such as Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, Laufey and NewJeans have all taken its platform before breaking further into mainstream global recognition.
This pattern has contributed to the stage’s reputation as a “transition space” between rising act and full-scale headliner.
This year, acts such as Aespa, Suki Waterhouse and Jade are among those tapped to perform on the stage
Setlists often run between 12 to 18 songs, giving performers enough space to build pacing, stage production and audience engagement on a large scale.
The Allianz Stage is also strategically placed within the festival grounds, often directly across from the main T-Mobile Stage.
The five-member act is scheduled to perform on July 30 from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Chicago time, which translates to 4:30 a.m. to 5:30 a.m. in the Philippines.
