Singapore’s new railway is a Scunthorpe steel success story
Singapore’s commuters are feeling the first benefits of Scunthorpe steel as the initial stages of the Mass Rapid Transit opened.
A total of 200km of rail has been despatched to the Far East, via the French rolling mill at Hayange, to support the build-out of the Thomson East Coast Line.
It allows passengers to cross the 50km wide island quicker, reducing the previous commute by 30 per cent.
