Riding on the global success of recent hits “Gabriela” and “Gnarly,” global girl group Katseye continues to break new ground as they scored their first MTV Video Music Award.
They bagged the “Push Performance of the Year” with their viral track “Touch.” The milestone marks not only their first Moon Person trophy but also their first-ever appearance and performance at the prestigious VMAs, a night the members described as surreal and unforgettable.

“This is all very new to us, this is our first time ever doing this,” member Lara stated, highlighting just how fresh the journey still feels. Lara added that the victory was especially meaningful given the challenges they’ve faced along the way.

Filipina member Sophia Laforteza, proudly speaking to their global fandom, expressed her gratitude by saying, “Thank you to our Eyekons. We are here because of you, we love you so much. Thank you for believing in us.”
She also slipped in a Filipino phrase, “Maraming maraming salamat,” giving a nod to her roots.
On Instagram, Katseye shared their excitement over the historic win. “Our first time at the @vmas was unforgettable, WE WON A VMA!! Thank you EYEKONS, for voting for us for PUSH performance of the year and for always having our backs. We truly would not be here if it weren’t for you. We love you!!” the group posted, alongside celebratory photos.
The win comes just as Katseye gears up for their “Beautiful Chaos Tour” in the United States. According to their label, every stop has already sold out, prompting the addition of extra shows in New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco.

The tour kicks off on Nov. 15 in Minneapolis, MN, before heading to major cities including Toronto, Boston, New York, Washington D.C., Atlanta, Sugar Land, Irving, Phoenix, San Francisco, Seattle, Los Angeles and Mexico City.
Notably, both New York and Los Angeles will see back-to-back performances, while San Francisco will host them for two nights as well.
