S&P 500 hits record high, fueled again by tech stocks – Los Angeles Times
The S&P 500 climbed higher to close another all-time high on Friday, fueled by strength in tech stocks and a few better-than-expected reports on the US economy.
The benchmark index rose 11.65 points, or 0.3%, to 3,397.16, although the majority of stocks in the index weakened. He followed losses across Europe after more disheartening reports there pointed to a slowdown in his economies.
