Storms to hit the UK today as Met Office issues yellow weather warning

Heavy rain and thunder is set to return to the UK today after a yellow weather warning for rain has been put in place.
The Met Office issued the alert between noon and 9pm across the north of England, including Manchester and Newcastle, the Midlands and Wales.
