Stray Kids’ ‘Karma’ reigns among best-selling albums in US

Stray Kids continue to dominate the global music scene as their latest album “Karma” becomes one of the best-selling albums in the United States this year.

According to music and entertainment analytics platform Luminate, “Karma” had sold nearly 393,000 copies in the US as of Sept. 18.

Released on Aug. 22, the album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, dated Sept. 6, earning 313,000 equivalent album units in its first week. Of that total, 296,000 were traditional album sales, both of which mark career highs for the eight-member group.

This milestone earned the K-pop group their seventh No. 1 album on the Billboard 200, making them the first artist in the chart’s 70-year history to have all of their first seven albums debut at the top spot.

Beyond US success, “Karma’s” global reach continues to expand. The album received gold certification from the French National Syndicate of Phonographic Publishing (SNEP) and recently topped the Greek album chart compiled by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) for week 38 of 2025.

With this release, Stray Kids now has five albums that have reached No. 1 on the IFPI Global Album Chart, including “5-STAR,” “Rock-Star,” “ATE” and the mixtape “Hop.” They remain the only Asian act with more than two albums reaching that position.

Remarkably, “Karma” also pushed Stray Kids to another historic milestone by becoming the first K-pop act to surpass 1 million combined physical and digital album units sold in the US for the second consecutive year.

In just over a month, the group sold 400,000 physical copies in the country, reaffirming their powerful fanbase and steady global influence.
