Rivers of 1,000°C lava are flattening houses and forcing thousands to flee their homes on the Spanish island of La Palma.
The Canary Islands’ first volcanic eruption on land in 50 years was triggered by thousands of small earthquakes.
It caused the Cumbre Viejo volcano to shoot lava hundreds of metres into the air on Sunday.
