Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce spent a low-key evening together in New York City as they celebrated the Kansas City Chiefs player’s 37th birthday.
The married couple marked Kelce’s birthday with a visit to Torrisi in SoHo on Monday night, Oct. 5. While the celebration seemed like a private moment between them, their public appearance quickly became a talking point among fans, who noticed the couple’s natural affection and comfort with each other.
During the outing, Swift and Kelce were seen staying close, with the singer holding her husband’s hand as they walked through the city. Fans also noted Kelce’s calm approach to the attention surrounding them, as the athlete has become increasingly familiar with the media spotlight that comes with being married to one of the world’s most recognizable music stars.
The birthday dinner came as Swift continues to celebrate the release of additional tracks from “The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore,” an expanded version of her latest album.
One of the new songs, “Cleveland!”, features a personal reference to Kelce and his connection to the Ohio city where he and his brother, Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, grew up.
Swift’s lyrics highlight a shared memory between the couple, with the singer referencing Kelce showing her around Cleveland’s Heights neighborhood.
“My baby likes what he likes,” she sings in the track. “He already took me to Cleveland / And showed me the Heights / So hate all you like / This is the love of my life.”
