A teenager has died and another was seriously injured after the driver’s car collided with a lorry.

The driver, a boy in his teens, died at the scene in Norfolk, while the passenger, also male, was taken to hospital.

The lorry driver had minor injuries and was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure.

The crash happened on the A134 road between Stradsett and Shouldham Thorpe, Norfolk, at around 9.55am on Monday.

Police closed the road while emergency services attended the scene, but opened it again around six hours after the crash.

Norfolk Police said it would like to speak to potential witnesses of the crash.

A statement they posted read: ‘Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision near Stradsett.

‘The collision happened at around 9.55am yesterday, on the A134 Lynn Road between Stradsett and Shouldham Thorpe, when a silver Citroen C3 and a Mercedes-Benz lorry collided.

‘The road was closed whilst emergency services attended the scene. The driver of the Citroen, a man in his teens, sadly died at the scene.

‘Another man in his teens who was a passenger in the Citroen was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

‘The driver of the lorry suffered minor injuries and attended hospital as a precaution.

‘The road reopened at around 4.15pm.

‘Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or the manner of driving prior to the collision.

‘Anyone with any information or relevant dashcam footage is asked to get in touch via the following channels, quoting reference 36/49264/26.’
