Looking to grab some extra treats or drinks before the clock strikes midnight this year?

You might be in luck – supermarkets have revealed their holiday opening times for New Year’s.

Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury will remain party over the New Year’s period, leaving time for partygoers to stock up on celebration essentials.

Opening hours will be affected on December 31 and January 1 – but we’ve compiled key opening and closing times for you below.

  • New Year’s Eve: 5 am to 7 pm
  • New Year’s Day: 8 am to 6 pm

Asda

The supermarket chain will be keeping its doors open, but at reduced times.

Here are the store’s expected opening times:

  • New Year’s Eve: 7 am to 7 pm
  • New Year’s Day: 9 am to 6 pm

Sainsbury’s

Sainsbury’s supermarkets will partially open during the New Year, but some smaller Sainsbury’s Local locations could have alternate hours.

  • New Year’s Eve:10 am to 7 pm
  • New Year’s Day:8 am to 8 pm

Aldi

  • New Year’s Eve: 8 am to 6 pm
  • New Year’s Day: closed
