The clip opens with Meryl Streep’s Miranda Priestly, the impeccably cold editor-in-chief of Runway magazine, striding confidently down the hall in fiery red heels. She steps into an elevator clutching a fresh issue of Runway, when a familiar face appears: Anne Hathaway’s Andy Sachs.

The moment is brief. Andy cheerfully greets her old boss with a “Good morning,” only to be met with Miranda’s trademark frostiness and the line, “Took you long enough.”

It’s a powerful callback to the tension and mentorship that defined the 2006 original and a reminder that time hasn’t dulled Miranda’s sharp edge.

According to the film’s synopsis, “The Devil Wears Prada 2” follows Miranda as she faces her toughest challenge yet. She must survive in an industry where print media is quickly becoming obsolete.

With advertising revenue slipping away, she must turn to her former assistant Emily Charlton, played again by Emily Blunt, who’s risen through the ranks to become a high-powered executive at a luxury conglomerate.

The sequel will see the returns of Streep, Hathaway and Blunt alongside Stanley Tucci, Tracie Thoms and Tibor Feldman. New faces include Kenneth Branagh as Miranda’s husband and Bridgerton star Simone Ashley in a still-undisclosed role.

Directed by David Frankel, “The Devil Wears Prada 2” is set to hit theaters on May 1, 2026.
