Daley then returned to the Whitchurch store on February 4, where he was caught stripping a fridge of fish and meat worth more than £200.

The thief did not attempt to conceal his identity during a three-week series of rampages.

Daley was found to be carrying a kitchen knife when he was arrested by officers on February 21.

On February 7, he was filmed alongside two women stuffing Sports Direct and B&M bags with confectionery at the Co-op in Caldicot with £167.60 worth of items.

He appeared in court two days later after being charged with 12 offenses of theft, one of attempted theft and one of possession of a bladed article.

Further charges were brought against him in relation to shoplifting offenses in the West Midlands.

Asked during a police interview about his grabbing an entire mini egg display, Daley replied: ‘No comment.’

He was sentenced to four months’ imprisonment.

DC Warriner said: ‘Daley is a prolific offender who was brazen in his actions across the country, showing a clear disregard for the law and believing himself above it.

‘Shoplifting is not a victimless crime, and offenders like Daley have a big financial impact on businesses, and emotional impact on those who work there.

‘Daley would have continued targeting businesses across the UK and I am glad to see that he has now been prevented from doing so.’
