Three men stabbed outside Liverpool LGBT+ nightclub with suspect on the run

Three people have been taken to hospital after a stabbing outside an LGBT+ nightclub in Liverpool city center.

Police have launched a manhunt following the triple stabbing on Tithebarn Street around 6.35am on Sunday morning.

Three men were injured in the attack and taken to hospital, with two in a stable condition and another having sustained minor injuries.

The stabbing took place outside the G-Bar on Eberle Street following an ‘altercation,’ Merseyside Police said.

One nearby resident, Blake Chen, 30, said he was woken up by screaming at around 5.30am and saw police cars, ambulances and a police cordon was put in place.

The suspected weapon has been recovered and will be forensically examined while the manhunt continues.

Detective Chief Inspector Lisa McNaughton said: ‘We understand the concern that such a serious incident will cause in the community. This is why it is so vital that anyone with information comes forward as a matter of urgency.

‘It appears that some form of altercation broke out near to G-Bar, resulting in the three victims sustaining injuries.

‘The suspected weapon has been recovered and will be forensically examined. We will do all we can to identify the person responsible and support the victims as this investigation progresses.’

G-Bar, which opened in 1996, describes itself as ‘one of Liverpool’s most iconic and enduring LGBT+ venues’.
