Three pupils ‘stabbed’ at school in Manchester forcing it into lockdown

Co-op Academy in Manchester is in lockdown after three people were reportedly stabbed in a ‘serious incident’.

Around six police cars are at the scene in Blackley, with a helicopter hovering above as an ambulance treats the victims.

Students are sheltering in their classrooms, parents said, as police respond to the incident.

Police said a schoolgirl has been arrested, but the victims aren’t believed to be ‘serious’.

‘Emergency services remain on scene, and we are supporting the school.
