A section of the M25 anti-clockwise has been closed following a crash, with long traffic delays expected.
The UK’s busiest motorway is closed between junction 23 at South Mimms and junction 22 at St Albans following the incident earlier this morning.
National Highways has said traffic is being diverted on approach, and urged drivers to allow extra time for their journey.
Further traffic chaos is also expected on the outskirts of London
The road is shut southbound between junction 6 at St Albans and junction 5 at Watford.

Emergency services were on the scene minutes after National Highways first flagged the incident at around 5am, with recovery crews heading over around two hours later.
A post on X from the roads agency said: ‘Traffic caught within the closure is being released past scene using the hard shoulder.’
