Of course, Donald Trump is planning to name the £187 million ballroom after himself after demolishing the entire East Wing of the White House.

From Trump Tower – a 70-storey skyscraper in New York City – to the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas, the US president’s name has graced his towers, casinos and golf courses – and now reportedly part of the official residence of every American leader.

Officials are already referring to the gilded building as ‘The President Donald J Trump Ballroom,’ ABC News reported.

It is understood that the politician is planning to keep the name when the building is finished.

Trump has not yet stated publicly what he intends to name the ballroom – but considering that he has made his career in real estate by slapping his name on the side of skyscrapers, it will not be a shock.

The White House has stated that the ballroom will be completed before he leaves office in January 2029 but the project is ambitious.

His administration has not offered a specific timeline and many doubt the assurances.

‘I won’t get into that now,’ the president himself refused to answer when he was asked by ABC News Chief White House correspondent Mary Bruce on if he has a name for the ballroom.

More than £262 million has been raised for the ballroom, with Trump ‘receiving such positive and overwhelming support for the ballroom that he continues to receive donations.’

An official said construction will still cost £225 million as of now, so it is not clear what the extra money will go towards.

Trump has repeatedly claimed that he plans to donate millions of dollars of his own to the ballroom’s construction.

A full list revealing all the wealthy donors and corporations paying for it has been released by his administration afterexcavators and construction workers began tearing out portions of the East Wing.

The list includes dozens of companies, such as Amazon, Google and Meta, and several billionaire investors.
