UK sees hottest day of the year as heat in Northern Ireland hits all-time high

The hottest day of the year so far has been provisionally recorded in all four UK nations, with Northern Ireland reaching its highest temperature ever.
Ballywatticock, in County Down, reached 31.2°C at around 3.40pm this afternoon, the Met Office said.
