Vue fined £750,000 after man crushed to death by reclining cinema seat

A major cinema chain has been fined £750,000 after film-goer Ateeq Rafiq was trapped under a seat in 2018 and died.
Mr Rafiq, 24, suffered a cardiac arrest when part of the ‘gold class’ chair pressed down on his neck at Birmingham’s Star City complex in March 2018, a jury was told in May 2019.
