Shortly after completing his mandatory military service in Korea, BTS’ Jin is gearing up to release his highly anticipated debut solo album, Happy, on Nov. 15.

Following his discharge from mandatory military duty in June 2024, Jin has stayed busy with several public appearances, including his role as a torchbearer for the 2024 Paris Olympics and the launch of his online variety show, “Run Jin.”

Now, he is ready to make his solo musical mark with this six-track album, giving fans a closer glimpse into his personal reflections on happiness.

According to BIGHIT Music, “Happy” centers around a heartwarming message of shared joy, encouraging fans, known as ARMY, to join Jin on a journey of self-discovery.

In a press statement, the agency explained, “‘Happy’ is an album that carries the message

of finding happiness together. Jin will show his candid thoughts about happiness and deliver his warm feelings toward ARMY.” The album’s teasers have also hinted at an emotional tone, featuring the touching phrase “You are loved.”

Though “Happy” is Jin’s first solo album, it isn’t his first foray into solo projects. Fans will recall his previous works, including the viral hit “Super Tuna” and “The Astronaut,” which he released in 2022 before enlisting in the military. His contribution to K-drama soundtracks also highlights his versatility as an artist.

Jin’s return to the spotlight has been met with excitement, as he has also joined the cast of Netflix’s upcoming variety show “Kian’s Bizarre B&B.”

On the flip side, five of his co-members, Jungkook, Jimin, RM, J-Hope and V, are setting their sights on the 2025 Grammy Awards with their individual submissions of their solo tracks and albums.

Currently, Jin and J-Hope are the only BTS members to wrap up the mandatory national service.
