Woman raped by two men in woods with urgent hunt launched for attackers

A manhunt is underway after a woman was raped in woodland by two men yesterday morning.

The attack took place in Chelmsley Wood, Solihull, at around 8am on Monday.

Parents would have been taking their children to one of the several schools nearby at the time. There is also a hospital close by.

The victim is being supported by specialist officers.

West Midlands Police is appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

A spokesperson said: ‘We’re investigating after a woman was raped by two men in Chelmsley Wood.

‘It happened at Alcott Woods in Chelmsley Wood at around 8am yesterday.

‘We are supporting the woman, and officers have been in the area carrying searches and other enquiries.

‘The investigation is at a very early stage and anyone with information has been asked to get in touch.’
