Women now make up the majority of the college-educated workforce, but men are still paid more
Women have hit a new milestone.
The number of college-educated women in the workforce edged out the number of college-educated men in 2019, according to an analysis published Thursday by the Pew Research Center. There were 29.5 million women with a bachelor’s degree in the workforce, as of the first-quarter of 2019, roughly matching the number of men, at 29.3 million.
