Gold slows on a firmer dollar and stocks
Gold prices edged down on Tuesday, weighed down by a stronger US dollar and as hopes for coronavirus treatments heightened feelings of risk.
FUNDAMENTALS
Spot gold was down 0.2% to $ 1,929.25 an ounce at 0036 GMT.
US gold futures fell 0.2% to $ 1,934.10.
The dollar index held close to a peak of more than a week last week, making gold more expensive for holders of other currencies.
