A fizzy drink manufacturer has issued an urgent ‘do not consume’ warning over juices sold across the UK.
AG Barr, the maker of the iconic Irn-Bru drink, has recalled batches of Rubicon still juices after concerns over sulphites.
The Food Standards Agency said the manufacturer recalled the drinks due to the discovery of ‘undeclared sulphites.’
The allergy alert affects the Rubicon blends Yuzu and Pink Grapefruit with four different batch codes and best before dates.
The company said in the notice: ‘AG Barr is initiating a precautionary recall of specific batches of Rubicon Yuzu & Pink Grapefruit Still 1L (Tetra carton) due to the potential presence of undeclared sulphites, making it a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or sensitivity to sulphur dioxide or sulphites.’
