In K-pop and P-pop culture, a “bias” is the member you naturally gravitate toward, the one who makes you proudly say, “that’s my fave.”
For Filipino American content creator Bretman Rock, that title in BINI now belongs to none other than Stacey Sevilleja.
Fresh off BINI’s historic appearance at Coachella 2026, Bretman didn’t hold back his admiration for the group, particularly for Stacey.
On his podcast, “Da Baddest Radio,” the influencer shared how deeply he was moved by the group’s performance, emphasizing how rare and meaningful it was to see a Filipino artist command such a massive global stage.
During Weekend 2 of Coachella, Stacey greeted the crowd in Ilocano while the group spoke in their native language onstage. For Bretman, hearing a familiar tongue in a space as global as Coachella hit differently. He reflected on how powerful it felt to hear his own language echoed in front of an international audience.
He said the moment stood out because he heard his own language, adding that Stacey quickly became his “bias” after the performance.
Like Bretman, Stacey has Ilocano roots, hailing from Nueva Vizcaya. That shared heritage added another layer of authenticity and pride to the already unforgettable Coachella set, where BINI became the first all-Filipino girl group to perform at the festival, taking the stage on April 10 and 17, 2026.
The love didn’t go unnoticed. On X (formerly Twitter), Stacey reposted a clip of Bretman talking about her, pairing it with a playful message, “omg i love you @bretmanrock !! mapan kami ag world tour dita HAWAII hihi hope to see u there with the jk!! huhu”
