The comeback era of BTS is unfolding beyond stadiums. Alongside the launch of their new world tour “Arirang,” the global superstars are bringing the tour’s opening concerts to movie theaters.
According to their agency, BigHit Music, two of the tour’s early shows will be broadcast live in cinemas across South Korea and internationally. The concerts in Goyang on April 11 and Tokyo on April 18 will be screened in more than 3,500 theaters spanning 75 countries.
Because of time zone differences, some territories will present delayed broadcasts rather than real-time livestreams.

Ticket sales officially begin on Feb. 25, but exact times depend on the region.
In North America, sales open at 5 a.m. PST and 8 a.m. EST. Fans in parts of Europe, including the UK and Ireland, can begin booking at 1 p.m. GMT. Across much of Asia, tickets go live at 8 p.m. ICT.
In South Korea, major cinema chains such as CGV, Lotte Cinema and Megabox will host the screenings, with reservations opening at 10 a.m. local time.
Fans are advised to prepare early: Create or log into cinema accounts ahead of time, double-check local screening listings and be ready right when sales open. Given the group’s history of instant sellouts, speed will likely be key.
Netflix
However, if cinema tickets sell out, two exclusive specials are set to premiere on Netflix in March. One project will spotlight a major live performance event tied to the album release, while the documentary “BTS: The Return,” promises an intimate look at the group’s creative process after completing military service.
The “Arirang” tour launches April 9 in South Korea, following the release of BTS’ comeback album on March 20. The tour is already shaping up to be a milestone moment.
BigHit Music has described the concerts as “the biggest world tour ever by a K-pop act,” covering 82 shows in 34 cities. In fact, 41 dates across North America and Europe have reportedly sold out.
