Filipino singer Gwyn Dorado continues to redefine her “Sing Again 4” journey after making history on the JTBC competition with the highest score ever recorded, further solidifying her place in the Top 4 heading into the grand finale.

Performing under the alias Contestant No. 59, Dorado delivered a show-stopping stage that earned seven perfect scores of 100 from the panel.

Cho Kyuhyun, Super Junior member, was the sole judge to give Dorado a 98, a decision he later expressed regret over. Even so, the result officially crowned Dorado as the highest-scoring contestant in “Sing Again” history.

Dorado previously shared that the song she performed was crafted alongside renowned producer Kim Do Hun. She admitted feeling intimidated at first but said she was grateful for the guidance that helped her fully embody the song’s emotional core.

A shift in musical direction

Following the episode, Dorado took to Instagram to reflect on her evolving artistry and tease an exciting shift in her musical direction as she approaches the finale.

“Hi everyone! Sing Again journey has been a wild ride and it’s about to be even wilder. I’ve always taken the ballad genre path since I’ve started Sing Again but I want to end it with a new side of me as to show a new beginning,” she wrote.

Dorado added that the process wasn’t easy, but collaboration played a crucial role in her growth. She credited producer Groovy Room for helping her embrace a different sound and attitude on stage, noting that the experience pushed her to become more confident.

She ended her message by introducing her next chapter: “This is ‘Light Up’. I hope you like this new song as much as I do. Thank you for supporting me all the way until this round.”

Sing Again 4, hosted by Lee Seung-gi, began with 81 contestants, all seeking a second chance to rediscover their voices and reconnect with the spotlight. After weeks of eliminations, only four remain: Dorado (No. 59), Lee Ohwook (No. 65), Kim Jaemin (No. 37) and Seohee (No. 27).
