Singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams has drawn attention to a new United Nations commission report that accuses Israel of committing genocide in Gaza.
On her social media, the artist reshared a post that read, “UN says Israel is committing genocide in Gaza.”

The repost comes in the wake of what experts describe as the most direct and forceful UN finding on the issue so far. The commission’s report concluded that Israel has violated the 1948 Genocide Convention, a landmark treaty established shortly after World War II to prevent crimes against humanity.

BBC’s Jeremy Bowen characterized the document as a “blunt indictment of Israel’s actions in Gaza,” underscoring its gravity.
Human rights groups have also been quick to note that this report represents the clearest statement yet from the international body regarding the humanitarian crisis unfolding in the region.

While Abrams has long been known for her candidness in music, her social media activity also reflects her willingness to use her platform on global issues. Fans have praised her for shedding light on international reports that might otherwise remain overlooked in mainstream entertainment spaces.
Paul Mescal
Meanwhile, Abrams’ personal life has also captured headlines. Actor Paul Mescal, known for his upcoming film “The History of Sound,” offered rare insight into his relationship with the musician.
In his October Rolling Stone cover story, Mescal described the bond as “deeply precious,” adding that he wants to protect what they share.
The pair were first linked in June 2024 when they were seen dining together in London. By July, their relationship appeared to be Instagram official, further fueling speculation among fans.
Despite their growing public visibility, Mescal’s comments suggest the couple is intent on keeping their connection grounded and private.
