As Katseye nears the end of its Wildworld Tour as a four-member act, the group is looking forward to welcoming Sophia Laforteza back in the new year.
Speaking during the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, member Lara Raj reflected on the Filipina singer’s upcoming return, saying the group has supported her decision to temporarily step away from the spotlight and focus on her well-being.
“We are so happy that she’s coming back… We are so proud of her. I think she’s really been so brave, and we respect her so much for taking the space and taking time for her health. She’s our sister, so we can’t wait for her to come back,” she said.
Instead of focusing on what Sophia missed during her hiatus, Lara’s comments underscored what the group believes she gained – time to recover and prioritize her health before returning to the stage.
Sophia has been away from group activities since August 2026 after taking a mental health break, sitting out the North American leg of Katseye’s Wildworld Tour.
During that period, Lara, Daniela Avanzini, Megan Skiendiel and Yoonchae Jeung continued performing at the group’s scheduled shows, frequently reassuring fans that Sophia remained part of Katseye.
Their optimism now comes with a timeline. HYBE x Geffen Records has confirmed that Sophia is set to resume official activities in the first week of January 2027, ending months of anticipation among fans eager to see her perform with the group again.
