NEW YORK – On Philippine Independence Day, 16 iconic landmarks across New York State were brightly illuminated in the colors of the Philippine flag to celebrate the 128th Anniversary of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence.
This vibrant display was coordinated by the Philippine Consulate General in New York in collaboration with New York Governor Kathy Hochul’s office and the Niagara Parks Illumination Board.

The following landmarks illuminated the night sky with a stunning display of red, blue, white and yellow lights:
- One World Trade Center
- Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge
- Kosciuszko Bridge
- H. Carl McCall SUNY Building
- State Education Building
- Alfred E. Smith State Office Building
- Empire State Plaza
- State Fairgrounds – Main Gate & Expo Center
- Niagara Falls
- The Franklin D. Roosevelt Mid-Hudson Bridge
- Grand Central Terminal – Pershing Square Viaduct
- Albany International Airport Gateway
- MTA LIRR – East End Gateway at Penn Station
- Fairport Lift Bridge over the Erie Canal
- Moynihan Train Hall
- Roosevelt Island Lighthouse
