LOS ANGELES – Katy Perry and Blackpink’s Lisa captivated audiences with stunning performances at the FIFA World Cup opening ceremony at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
Perry donned a dazzling silver sequin dress from Stella McCartney’s Fall/Winter 2026 collection as she took the stage on June 12 to help close the festive prelude to the US match against Paraguay.

Lisa became the first K-pop artist to perform at a FIFA World Cup opening ceremony, delivering the first live performance of World Cup anthem “Goals” with global superstars Anitta and Rema.

Before the ceremony, Perry shared a heartfelt video on social media introducing Tius, who recorded his vocals for “Wonder” when he was just five years old.
She wrote, “That little voice you’re listening to right now is Tius. I heard his vocal in 2023 and was inspired to write the verses for ‘Wonder.’ He’s flown all the way to LA from Norway to perform this song with me at the World Cup.”

Dozens of celebrities and cultural icons turned out for the match 10 miles south of Hollywood, including Tom Cruise, George Lucas, Bill Gates, Halle Berry, Leonardo DiCaprio and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
FIFA Fan Festival
Meanwhile, FIFA Fan Festival continued Saturday at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, offering soccer fans a place to watch matches, attend entertainment events and take part in interactive activities.
The festival will run through Sunday at the historic Exposition Park venue and is expected to draw thousands of fans as Los Angeles serves as a host city for the FIFA World Cup, according to organizers.
The festival features live match broadcasts on giant screens, food and beverage vendors, sponsor exhibits and cultural programming.
Scheduled performers include Steve Aoki, Normani, Deorro, Sickick, Los Lobos, Capital Cities and DJ Ravidrums.
