NEW YORK – Are Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce set to tie the knot in New York over the Fourth of July weekend? Recent comments from New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani suggest that may be the case.
While Swift and Kelce have kept their plans under wraps, Mamdani has seemingly confirmed the couple will be getting married in the city, with the highly anticipated wedding scheduled to take place before the FIFA World Cup concludes on July 19.
Mamdani hinted at the couple’s NYC wedding during a press conference on safety measures for a FIFA World Cup game in New Jersey on July 5.
He emphasized that New York is well-equipped to manage numerous events happening simultaneously.
“I’m fully confident in the NYPD and our state partners to ensure a safe event,” Mamdani stated. “As the largest city in the country, we’re accustomed to hosting major events, and we’re incredibly excited for this one.”
He acknowledged several big events, including the Knicks’ NBA Finals, the Fourth of July celebrations – and Swift and Kelce’s wedding.
He remarked, “We can’t wait to welcome the world here.”

The New York Post reported earlier that Swift and Kelce are set to tie the knot at the Madison Square Garden during the Fourth of July weekend.
The publication noted that there are no scheduled events at the iconic venue from June 29 to July 6.
Swift has taken the stage eight times at Madison Square Garden, which recently hosted Games 3 and 4 of the NBA Finals.

In April, Page Six reported that the couple plans to marry in New York, saying that their “save the date” confirmed July 3 as the wedding date.
Kelce and Swift, who have been dating since 2023, announced their engagement in August last year.
