A Michelin-starred restaurant in a 14th-century building was reduced to ashes after its thatched roof caught fire.
Chef Andrew Pern said The Star Inn, near Helmsley in North Yorkshire, began burning at around 10pm on Wednesday — with more than 40 firefighters called out to tackle the blaze.
