The Philippines is stepping onto a new international stage as it prepares to compete in the first-ever Eurovision Song Contest Asia happening in Bangkok, Thailand this November.

This is the Asian counterpart of the long-running Eurovision Song Contest, which is among the biggest live music events globally.

The move signals a major milestone as the brand extends beyond Europe for the first time in a full-scale format.

In a joint announcement, the European Broadcasting Union confirmed the project alongside Voxovation, Thailand-based S2O Productions and Channel 3 Thailand.

The Grand Final is set for Nov. 14 in Bangkok.

Lineup

Joining the lineup are countries such as South Korea, Vietnam, Malaysia and Thailand. The Philippines will be represented by ABS-CBN, which is expected to spearhead the country’s entry.

Organizers shared that the inaugural edition will feature a minimum of 10 participating nations, with more countries likely to be announced in the coming months.

Following the Eurovision format, each participating country will send an act to perform an original track. The contest aims to highlight each nation’s musical identity while appealing to a broader international audience.

Beyond competition, the event is positioned as a platform for cultural exchange, bringing together diverse sounds, languages and styles from across Asia under one stage.
