Sara Sharif’s murderous father has been moved to a top-security prison nicknamed ‘Monster Mansion’ which is home to some of Britain’s worst killers and criminals.

Urfan Sharif, 43, is currently serving a 40-year sentence after he and partner Beinash Batool, 30, killed 10-year-old Sara following a sickening two year campaign of torture and abuse.

The schoolgirl was hooded, bitten, burned and eventually beaten to death before her body was found with at least 71 injuries at the family’s home in Woking last year.

Police said she had so many bruises on her body it was impossible to ascertain which one had killed her.

Following his sentencing, reports emerged that Sharif had been attacked in his cell by two inmates at HMP Belmarsh on New Year’s Day, who slashed his throat with a tuna can lid.

The murderer was left in critical condition but survived the incident, and has since been transferred to HMP Frankland, where he reportedly spends his days ‘cowering’ in his cell.

Frankland prison, home to killers such as Ian Huntley, Wayne Couzens and Levi Bellfield, is one of the most notorious prisons in the country, and has earned the nickname ‘Monster Mansion’ due to the large number of serial killers, terrorists and rapists housed there.

A source told the Sun: ‘The prisoners were all locked up when Sharif was brought in this week, so no-one could get to him.

‘But it was obvious something big was happening – and word soon got round about who he was.

‘Child killers are the lowest of the low, even at a place like Frankland.

‘So Sharif is absolutely terrified and has been cowering in his cell, barely coming out.

Sara Sharif’s killer dad has ‘had his neck slashed with a tuna can lid in prison’ just two weeks after he was sentenced for his daughter’s murder, according to The Sun. Urfan Sharif was attacked by two of his fellow inmates on New Year’s Day at HMP Belmarsh in South London. His injuries are described to be ‘non life-threatening.’ The 43-year-old was sentenced to 40 years in prison after he subjected Sara, 10, to horrific abuse at their home in Woking – including beating her as she lay dying. The prison service confirmed they are investigating an attack but said: ‘It would be inappropriate to comment further while they investigate.’ #incident #prison #sarasharif #uknews

‘He knows he has a huge target on his back, just like he did at Belmarsh.

‘He has been put on the same wing as Bellfield, and it also has a lot of killers and hitmen on it – really heavy duty people.’

Frankland is home to many Muslim and Asian prisoners, and Sharif is hoping they will offer him protection out of a warped sense of loyalty, the source added.

The prison has been at the centre of a number of attacks on prisoners and guards in recent months. In July, a police officer was left fighting for his life after being stabbed in the chest by an inmate, while a warden was stabbed repeatedly by a Muslim convert who screamed ‘Allahu Akbar’ last January.

Other criminals housed in the prison include al-Qaeda ‘dirty bomber’ plotter Dhiren Barot, Thomas Mair, the Nazi-obsessed terrorist who murdered Labour MP Jo Cox in 2016, Liberian war criminal Charles Taylor and Michael Adebolajo, who murdered Lee Rigby in 2013.

A report in 2023 found there had been over 8,000 assaults on prison staff over a 12 month period – nearly one every hour.

Sharif was attacked on January 1 by two inmates who were thought to have been sickened by his abuse of Sara, with a source saying he was lucky to have survived.

It is believed double killer Steve Sansom was behind the attack, which left Sharif bloodied and battered in his cell at Belmarsh.

A source told the Sun at the time: ‘Urfan was sliced up badly in his cell by two others who rushed in. It was planned and they used a makeshift weapon — made from the lid of a tin of tuna.

‘He was sliced in the neck and face, and is still in healthcare and in a very bad way.

‘He was lucky to survive, has had to have stitches and will have scars as a permanent reminder of the attack. The guards tried to keep him safe because he obviously had a target on his back after the case was such big news.

‘Something like this was always on the cards, and an attack was probably only a matter of time.’

During the trial a court heard that the 10-year-old schoolgirl suffered ‘unimaginable pain’ during more than two years of abuse and was ultimately tortured to death by her father and stepmother.

Sara was injured with a variety of weapons including being scalded with boiling liquid when she was restrained, being beaten with a cricket bat, being hit with a metal pole broken off from a children’s high chair and being burned with an iron.

The judge described how Sara was so terrified by the violence she would throw up or wet herself, before being punished further.

Sharif and Batool were found guilty of murder last month, while her uncle, Faisal Malik, 29, was convicted of causing or allowing a child’s death.

Sharif was sentenced to a minimum term of 40 years, Batool to 33 years and Malik to 16 years in prison.
