Top North East visitor attraction to cut jobs after coronavirus visitor slump
A popular museum in County Durham has opened consultations that could see it cut more than 50 jobs.
Beamish Museum – an open air attraction that brings to life various periods of the North East’s past – has announced plans for 59 redundancies, which would amount to almost 15% of its workforce.
The job losses follow a four-month closure of the museum during the coronavirus lockdown.
