Two people have been killed after a plane crashed into a home in Ohio, US.
Both people on board the small plane were killed on Thursday after the aircraft crashed into a house with a family inside in Canterbury Circle, Akron.
Footage shows a fire ripping through the neighborhood after the plane burst into flames upon crashing.
Witnesses said they could hear the aircraft’s engine making unusual noises just seconds before it came down.
Resident Lewis Short said: ‘I heard a lot of sputtering, like the engine cut on and cut off and within 10 seconds, something like that, “boom”.’
Jewell Ulrich told Fox: ‘We heard this humongous loud noise and all the neighbors were running out of the house, ran down that way.
‘You could see the house was on fire, so we were trying to make sure everybody was able to get out, and it was just this huge fire, like instant.’
The people inside the house were able to escape, with the family’s dad running up from the basement and grabbing the children.
Jewell added: ‘God was definitely watching over them because he got out with both his kids and the dog, so yes, blessed beyond measure.’
The American Red Cross of Northern Ohio said: ‘Red Cross volunteers were on scene of the small plane crash on Canterbury Circle in Akron.
‘We are currently assisting four family members whose home was directly impacted by the crash.
‘Thank you to our first responders, including Akron Fire Department, and to our Northern Ohio volunteers who continue to step up.’
