University makes £13m loss and axes 400 jobs as student numbers fall
The University of Plymouth has made an annual loss of nearly £13million and has axed 400 staff due to declining student numbers.
The institution’s latest set of accounts show “restructuring costs” as the the main reason its £3.1million operating surplus became a pre-tax loss of £12.8million.
