Maureen Wroblewitz gives fans a glimpse of her acting journey after sharing a self-tape audition for the US romantic drama series “Off Campus” and teasing an upcoming project of her own.
Former Miss Universe Philippines runner-up Maureen Wroblewitz is stepping into a new spotlight as she explores opportunities in acting following her move to the United States last year.
‘Off Campus’
The Filipino German model recently surprised fans after uploading a TikTok video featuring a self-tape audition for the American romantic drama series “Off Campus.”
In the clip, Wroblewitz performed scenes for the role of Hannah Wells, the story’s female protagonist.
While sharing the audition online, Wroblewitz admitted that posting the video made her nervous, saying it was outside her usual comfort zone.
Acting journey
She also revealed that she had kept much of her acting journey private until now.
“Auditioned for the role of Hannah, this is soooo out of my comfort zone to post (i might delete lol),” they wrote. “I haven’t been sharing this side of my journey online but maybe I should be more open about this. This was from Feb 2025 btw.”

The video quickly gained attention. Some viewers also asked about her preparation process for the audition, prompting Wroblewitz to jokingly reveal the celebrity she imagined opposite her during the scene.
“Fyi I was imagining meeting Harry Styles lol,” she said.
Aside from compliments and encouragement, the TikTok post also sparked conversations about acting techniques and self-tape challenges.
One commenter mentioned that the emotions in the performance could feel more natural, which Wroblewitz addressed honestly in the replies.
According to her, filming the audition remotely made it difficult to fully connect with the scene since she did not have a scene partner physically present during the recording.
“I think maybe cause I didn’t have an actual person standing in front of me. My sister, who was the reader, was just on FaceTime,” she said.
Although she ultimately did not land the role, Wroblewitz appeared optimistic about her growing acting career. She later confirmed in the comments section that another actress had already been cast as Hannah Wells and that the show has since been released.
“Someone else did already, the show is out! But my show is coming soon,” she said.
Wroblewitz first rose to fame after winning Asia’s Next Top Model cycle five before becoming one of the most recognizable Filipino German personalities in fashion and beauty pageants.
